What Are DOT Repairs?
A roadside or terminal inspection looks at the safety-critical parts of a commercial truck and trailer: brakes, lighting, tires and wheels, steering and suspension, coupling devices, air lines and more. When an inspector finds a defect, the unit can be put out of service until it is fixed. DOT repairs are the repairs that clear those defects.
Tell us what is on the report and we will go through it item by item. Our part is fixing the defect properly so you can get back to your carrier or your next inspection.
Our Story
We Know a Violation Costs You Days
Bawa’s has been repairing trucks and trailers in Dallas since 2011. When a unit is sitting because of a violation, every hour matters, and drivers tell us that is where we earn their trust. One wrote on Google that we fixed his badly damaged trailer in 24 hours.
We keep it simple: look at the report, tell you what needs fixing and what it costs, then get to work once you say go.

FAQ
DOT Repair Questions, Answered
What counts as a DOT repair?
Any repair that clears a defect found during a roadside or terminal inspection, such as brake problems, air leaks, lighting faults, worn tires, suspension damage or welding repairs. Bring the report or read it to us and we will go through it item by item.
Can you repair a truck or trailer that was put out of service?
We can repair the defects that caused it. Call +1 (214) 400-4228 with the items on the report and your location, and we will tell you how soon we can help and whether it can be done where the unit is parked.
How much do DOT repairs cost in Dallas?
It depends on what was flagged, the parts and the labor, so we do not quote blind. Call us with the report and we will give you a clear estimate and tell you what is required and what can wait before any work starts.
Do you do DOT inspections?
Our focus is repair. If you need a formal inspection, call +1 (214) 400-4228 and we will tell you what we can and cannot help with.
Can you fix it on the road?
Often, yes. Lights, air lines, tires and many brake items can be handled where the unit is parked. Bigger jobs are usually better done in our shop. If it cannot be fixed on site, we can tow it to our shop for the repair.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and closed Sunday. For anything outside those hours, call +1 (214) 400-4228.
